The Tai Chi Chuan technique of Ward off

Is the basis of basis of Tai Chi for self defense.


Ward off can be used for warding off attacks. The basic warding technique is to develop correct angling to receive, redirect or neutralize incoming attacks similar to basic deflection ,but with the use of fully aligned, centers and rooted posture . Ward off can be used offensively as well.

Here are different versions of ward off. 2 Cheng variations and one traditional Yang demonstrated by Sifu Rudy Curry Jr.
